Trustee Vacancies

Each year ReCOM makes a difference to around 500 local people providing IT training to help unemployed people who are looking for work as well as helping others in the Solihull/Birmingham area gain greater independence by developing digital skills and accessing the internet.

Due to the retirement of two of our long-standing trustees, ReCOM is looking for a Treasurer and a Trustee with HR experience to join our friendly and experienced Board. Working alongside the Chair and the other Trustees, they will ensure that we have the resources to maintain and develop our services. So, this is a great opportunity to help improve the lives of people within our local community.

The Treasurer is responsible for advising the Trustees on all financial matters as well as preparation of management and statutory accounts. We are looking for someone with the relevant financial skills and experience within a small organisation who would enjoy contributing to the wider strategic development of the charity.

The HR Trustee role is to support the Board on all HR/staff related matters; including maintaining appropriate HR policies and supporting the recruitment of new staff. To be effective, this person will need to have up-to-date knowledge and experience of handling operational HR issues (ideally in a small organisation), as well as being able to contribute to wider strategic plans.

There is lots more information about our activities on the web site.

How to apply:

If you would like to know more, please contact Carol Wood (Chair) on 0121 663 0335 (office hours 9am-2pm Monday – Friday) or email info@recom.org.uk

We welcome applications from individuals who are representative of the communities we serve.

The closing date for applications is 10th November 2017.  Please note all Trustees are required to have a full enhanced DBS check before taking up their role.
